Back to School Literacy!





Back to School Vocabulary!

Back to School Vocabulary! I added 12 vocab cards to help us get started.  We laminated the Back to School vocabulary cards so we could trace the words with dry erase markers, erase, and trace again!  You could also use them to go with your Back to School units!

Back to School Booklet! This Back to School booklet now features brand new clip art, fonts, and black and white version half pages saving you ink and paper!  Over the past week we have had a blast filling out, coloring, cutting/pasting, and putting together our Back to School booklet

The Kissing Hand!




The Kissing Hand!  We recently updated our Kissing Hand Craftivity just in time for our First Week of School.  This is such a great book for kids starting school.  We discussed being nervous like Chester and we even came up with a cute activity, featuring our very own Kissing Hand Poem!  To make your little ones first day extra special be sure to check out our Kissing Hand cookie tags!

Science Tools!


Science Tools! All week long we have been having a ton of back to school fun!  To start off science this year, we practiced writing and putting together our science tools flip book.  Then, we learned how to use our science tools.   Be sure to check out our Science Tools Flip Book!

Camping Activities for Kids

 Camping Literacy!







All summer long we've been saying "we should go camping."  Last week we organized a summer camping trip, just in time for National S'more Day, August 10th.  Of course, I created  a literacy pack to go with our theme.  Click below to take a peek!

Camping Vocabulary!

Camping Math Centers!





Camping Math! Also included in the camping packet, an original counting and subtracting activity. This camping Subtracting & Adding activity is an active learning activity so students can actually feed a moose marshmallow manipulatives. This would be great for math centers / work stations to practice counting and subtracting!

S'more Play-Doh!


Materials Used:
2 cups plain flour (all purpose)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
Up to 1.5 cups boiling water 
food coloring (for brown you can also use cocoa )
few drops glycerine (optional)






First, we put all of our ingredients into a pot and then we stirred.  This was so easy and tons of fun!  Do you use play-doh in your classroom?
